Mountain Valley Naturopathic has a CardioRisk technician come up from Salt Lake City to get highly skilled ultrasound images. These images will then be read by one of their radiologists for proper medical interpretation.

We receive the results within 10 days of the scan. These will be sent to your provider who can review the results and go over next steps with you.

If you do not have a provider, you can establish care with Dr. Pearce OR do an abbreviated cardiovascular visit to simply go over your results in light of your health history.

The scan is $250.  You will pay through the patient portal that is set up for scheduling, payment and for you and your provider to view results.

This will not be billed to insurance.

You do not need to do any special prep for the scan. You will lay down on the exam table fully clothed and the provider will use an ultrasound wand along both sides of your neck  to assess thickness of the two innermost layers of the arteries.
